All technical systems are housed in, or extend from, the Heart. They are largely accessed from the Southern exterior wall in order to showcase the systems during tours, while allowing for a purely spatial experience in the entryway.

Our strategy for photovoltaics is based on our goals of flexibility and market viability. Because PV is developing so rapidly, we chose to integrate PV mounting framework in order to allow the actual PV to be replaceable, repairable, and expandable to adjust to client needs and certain technological advancements.

Despite th exploration of photovoltaic technologies that can be more rigidly integrated, they remain largely cost-prohibitive and area susceptible to becoming obsolete. However, there has been, and always will be, a typically-sized PV panel.

In contrast, micro-inverters allow for a simple, incremental expansion of a PV panel array. We have chosen them as a fundamental component of our system, offering the most accessible method of incorporating ongoing solar energy generation.
